As we near the end of our sessions, it is my prayer that throughout our time together, God has used our coaching sessions, the assessments, the homework assignments, the prayers, and encouragements to whisper or even to shout out the gifts He has given you…the wonderful personality traits He has equipped you with…and His purpose for them all. It is my prayer that He has highlighted the fears and roadblocks that continue to stand in your way and that you are starting to find the courage to move past them with a fearless faith so that you can live each day with passion and purpose…that you will stand in confidence of who you are and in who God created you to be!

One of the final pieces of our Life Purpose puzzle is to accept our purpose…your unique purpose…only for you…not for anyone else…giving to you specifically…one that only you can fulfill…only in God’s perfect timing. You have to commit to being obedient and to completely surrendering to His will.

Take time to release these 7 Areas of Surrender to Jesus as you fully accept your specific purpose God has given you. Please print them out and fill in the blanks on the prayers below or you can write your own prayers as well. Either way, we will pray these together at our last session. I can’t wait! 🙂

Area #1–Timing

In accepting our purpose, we must surrender to God’s perfect timing.  We must accept His timing and know that it will bless our lives when we choose to wait for Him to move.

Lord Jesus, I surrender to Your perfect will and timing. I keep trying to hold on to____________________and now, I give___________________to You. Bring PEACE.

Area #2–Time

In accepting our purpose, we must surrender our time to the Lord. We must accept that from now on, our time is to be given to God, and we must use it wisely. We must find a beautiful balance of resting and being poured into by God and serving and pouring our gifts into others. And before we say “yes” or “no” to anything, we must pray for His wisdom and direction and for His “yes” or “no”. We must accept that He will start opening doors for us to use the gifts He has given us and we have to be willing to walk through them.

Lord Jesus, I surrender my time to you. I have such a hard time saying yes to ________and no to ______________. But I ask for your wisdom. Give me boldness to ______________. And give me opportunities to __________________. Bring BALANCE.

Area #3–Control

In accepting our purpose, we must surrender to God’s sovereignty. We must accept that He is in control. He knows best, and we don’t.

Lord Jesus, I surrender to Your control. I keep trying to control _________________ and now, I give____________________to You.  Bring FREEDOM.

Area #4–Comparison

In accepting our purpose, we must surrender to God’s unique purpose for us. We must accept that our purpose is going to be different than someone else’s and therefore, our strengths will be different than someone else’s and that’s OK. We must embrace our unique gifts and strengths and be confident in how He created us.

Lord Jesus, I surrender to Your unique purpose for me. When I start to compare my life to someone else’s, remind me that ________________________________. Bring CONFIDENCE.

Area #5–Fear

In accepting our purpose, we must surrender our fear to God. We must accept that fear is simply the enemy lying to us to keep us from the calling God has for us. We must be determined to live in faith instead of fear and not let anything stop us!

Lord Jesus, I surrender my fear to you. I especially want to give __________to you. Remind me ____________________. Bring FAITH.

Area #6–Mind

In accepting our purpose, we must surrender our minds to the Lord. We must accept that our minds are a battleground and we must protect it with the Sword of the Spirit…the word of God.

Lord Jesus, I surrender my mind to You. When I feel my mind being under attack, I will protect it with these words ______________________________. Bring TRUTH.

Area #7–Life

In accepting our purpose, we must surrender our entire lives to God. We must accept that our circumstances will never take away our purpose and that no matter what happens, God’s purpose for us will prevail! When every aspect of our lives is given to God, we will find His specific purpose for us will always shine through in all we do. And no matter what life brings our way, we can always serve our greatest purpose to love God, to love ourselves, and to love others.

Lord Jesus, I surrender my entire life to you. I love you. I trust you with ___________. I accept Your _______________. I receive Your __________________. I thank you for _______________. Bring PURPOSE.
